Fall Academy 2026
School-year Academy offers an opportunity for students to choose specific classes based on their personal interests and to dive more deeply into a specific topic. Whether you are new to the Springer Theatre Academy or a seasoned veteran, School-year Academy has something to offer everyone! You may choose to take one, two, or all three blocks of classes.
Fall Academy classes are held on 4 consecutive Mondays: September 14, 21, 28 and October 5 2026 from 4:30 - 7:50pm.
Fall Academy has 3 “blocks” of classes:
1st 4:30 - 5:30pm
2nd 5:40 - 6:40 pm
3rd 6:50 - 7:50 pm.
Students must wear an Academy shirt with their name clearly visible to each class.
Students may purchase an Academy shirt online or in person for $10.
Students should wear closed-toe shoes, pants or shorts that are long, and their hair should be pulled back out of their face.
We will have a short snack break in between blocks. Students may bring a snack from home or purchase one from the concessions.

Kindergarten - 2nd Grades
Turn The Page!
w/ Sam Bolar
1st Block (4:30 - 5:30 pm)
Calling all story tellers! This beloved Springer Theatre Academy activity takes center stage at Fall Academy. Turn-The-Page is a fast paced story-telling method where students act out different tales that will take them to lands far from our own. Students will also have the opportunity to create their own stories.
Sing With Me
w/ Anna Baum
2nd Block (5:40-6:40pm)
Come sing, play, and discover the joy of using your voice! In Sing With Me, students will explore the basics of singing through fun musical theatre games, songs, and activities. Students will learn about breath, pitch, rhythm, expression, and using their voices with confidence. Sing With Me is the perfect introduction to musical theatre singing for our youngest performers!
3rd - 4th Grades
Broadway Bootcamp
w/ Marsalis Causey
1st Block (4:30-5:30pm)
Each week, students will dive into choreography inspired by a different Broadway musical while building dance technique, performance skills and confidence. A new show and new choreography every single week!
Creative Movement
w/ Jada Thomas
2nd Block (5:40-6:40pm)
Get ready to move, imagine, and play! Creative Movement introduces students to the building blocks of dance through fun exercises, creative exploration, and movement-based activities. Students will develop coordination, musicality, rhythm, spatial awareness, and body control while exploring concepts like tempo, energy, levels, and dynamics.
Improv Isn’t Scary!

3rd Block (6:50-7:50pm)
Who needs a script? Explore imagination and partner work in a fun and creative environment that prepares you for life! Learn to make bold choices, be a great scene partner and think on your feet while laughing hysterically!
5th - 8th Grades
Jazz: Dance
w/ Jada Thomas
1st Block (4:30-5:30pm)
Step into the spotlight with this high-energy class! In this course, students will explore the vibrant world of jazz, learning snazzy moves, sharp footwork, and expressive techniques. With catchy rhythms and fun choreography, this class is perfect for young performers who want to strut their stuff, build confidence, and have a blast on the dance floor. No previous dance experience is necessary, just bring your enthusiasm and let’s get jazzy!
The Actor’s Studio
w/ Sam Bolar
2nd Block (5:40 - 6:40 pm)
Ready to dive deeper into acting? Explore scene study, character analysis, script work, and directing as you learn how to create truthful, compelling performances. This class is perfect for students looking to sharpen their craft and grow as confident performers.
Sing Out!
w/ Anna Baum
3rd Block (6:50-7:50pm)
Discover the power of your voice in Sing Out! In this class, students will learn essential vocal techniques tailored to the unique demands of musical theatre. From breath control and pitch accuracy to emotional expression and character interpretation, this class covers it all. Sing along while building confidence, expanding your vocal range, and developing stage presence. Whether you're a seasoned singer or new to the world of musical theatre, this class will help you shine on stage and bring your characters to life!
9th-12th Grades
Improv

Contemporary Dance
w/ Jada Thomas
3rd Block (6:50-7:50pm)
This class invites dancers of all skill levels to explore the vibrant world of Contemporary Dance. Students will learn fundamental moves, work on rhythm and coordination, and build confidence through fun, modern choreography. With a focus on self-expression and style, this class encourages creativity and individuality while teaching students to connect with their bodies.
Intern/Work-Study Program
Work-Study Program (WSP) students (Interns) receive financial assistance in the form of either community service hours OR tuition credit in exchange for work done for the Academy. Work all four sessions to earn up to $75 toward your tuition. Interns may instead opt for community service hours, but if so, they do not also receive the tuition credit.
Interns are assigned to assist either a classroom Teacher or the Academy Staff.
WSP applicants must have completed the 8th grade and must be a veteran Academy student in good standing.
Once we have received your application, we will contact you to schedule an interview, if necessary. All decisions regarding WSP applications are made by the Academy Director.
