The Springer Opera House brings the soul and funk to its annual Juneteenth celebration with I Feel Good: An Homage to James Brown. 

If Men of Motown made you move in 2024 and Sistas of Soul had you singing along last year, then this tribute in honor of the hardest working man in showbiz, will set your feet on fire! 

Featured in this performance are the Godfather’s greatest hits including “Papa’s Got a Brand New Bag,” “Get Up (I Feel Like Being a) Sex Machine,” It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World,” “Make It Funky,” “Get on the Good Foot,” “Get Up Offa That Thing” and no tribute would be complete with Brown’s hit single, “I Feel Good,” his highest-peaking of 91 entries on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. 

Leading the high-energy performance is Sterling McClary Baker, fresh off the Springer stage as the Tin Man in The Wiz and Seaweed J. Stubbs in Hairspray. With powerhouse vocals, magnetic stage presence, and a killer band behind him, this show promises to deliver soul, swagger, and nonstop rhythm.
